2021-2022 Scholarship Information

Scholarship Applications Packets are now available for the upcoming academic year of 2021-2022.
For more information about the application process, please download the application packet.
There will be a limited number of packets available for pickup in the Church Narthex starting February 28, 2021.
To apply for the scholarships, please complete the all the appropriate pages in the packet and return to the church office.
All applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Church Office or sent via email by May 25, 2021 no exceptions.

Important deadlines:

All applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Church Office by May 25, 2021
If sending the application by email as an attachment; the subject line of the email must be “2021 Scholarship Application” and the email must be sent by May 25, 2021.
Scholarship recipients will be determined by July 1, 2021.
Scholarships will be presented after the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, July 11, 2021.

Opening Update September 16th 2020

Working with Father Lou & Presvytera Alice, The GOYAN Leadership Team has developed a no contact social distancing plan for our new GOYA year! Because of COVID-19, we have set up online registration which was emailed to the community on September 16th at 5:00 P.M.. If you did not receive an email please submit your email address to saintdemetriosmd@gmail.com to receive a copy. Our 1st GOYA Meeting will be Sunday October 4th at 1pm, please register before then. We look forward to another year of bringing the youth of our community together in Christian fellowship again this year!

The following criteria must be met in order to become a member:

GOYAN must be a teenager (13-18 years old) who is in the 7th -12th grade.
Or is at least 12 years old on or before September 1st of this year and in the 7th grade.
Parents of the GOYAN are Stewards in good standing at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
- Stewardship has been pledged or paid for this year.
